Influence of collective forest tenure reform on rural households' forestry management investment: the case from seven provinces in China

Purpose The main objectives of collective forest tenure reform in China are to stimulate rural households invest forestry management, protect the ecosystem and improve their livelihood. By constructing unbalanced panel data household investment, this study discusses dynamic changes influencing factors which will lay a foundation for further research provide reference decision-making. Design/methodology/approach Based on 3,500 samples from provinces Fujian, Hunan, Yunnan, Shaanxi, Jiangxi, Gansu, Liaoning collected during field investigations 2010 2015, conducts an empirical analysis investment management its with nonbalanced panels. Findings According analysis, average per 2015 fluctuates greatly; age householder, increased area, subsidies, joining professional cooperatives, mortgage show positive effects achieving objectives. Originality/value discussions drawn that supporting policies such as transfer system, financial services subsidies should be improved sustain industry.
